Jowar Mix vs Quinoa & Seeds: Choose Your Roasted Snack
“Roasted snack” describes how a snack is prepared, but it does not tell you what it will taste like. If you are choosing between Chokkha's Jowar Mix – Magic Masala and Quinoa & Seeds – Chilli Lime, begin with the flavour you want: an Indian masala-led mix or a tangy seed-based snack.

Three choices, three flavour directions
| Snack | Main listed ingredients | Choose it for |
|---|---|---|
| Jowar Mix – Magic Masala | Jowar flakes, chana dal, masoor dal and melon seeds | Bold, spicy Indian seasoning |
| Quinoa & Seeds – Chilli Lime | Quinoa, pumpkin seeds and melon seeds | Chilli heat with a tangy lime profile |
| Munchy – Sweet & Spicy | Jowar, bajra, rice puff, chana and moong | A sweet-spicy millet mix |
All three are listed in 150g packs. Comparing the same pack weight makes the price comparison straightforward; check each product page for current prices and availability.
Choose Jowar Mix for masala-led crunch
Jowar Mix combines flakes, pulses and seeds, seasoned with ingredients including chilli, coriander, dry mango, mint, cumin, onion and garlic. If your usual snack is a spicy namkeen, this is the flavour direction to start with. The variety in the base also gives you more than a single grain or seed in each serving.
Choose Quinoa & Seeds for a seed-focused mix
Quinoa & Seeds uses pumpkin and melon seeds alongside quinoa. Its seasoning includes chilli, lemon juice powder and other spices, so the appeal is the combination of seed crunch and tang. It is worth choosing when you want a different base from a flake-and-pulse namkeen.
The ingredient list includes rice bran oil, sugar and soy-derived hydrolyzed vegetable protein, as well as seasoning ingredients. Read it in full if you avoid soy, onion or garlic. The name “Quinoa & Seeds” is not a complete ingredient list.
Choose Munchy when you prefer sweet and spicy together
Munchy brings jowar and bajra together with rice puff and pulses. Its sweet-spicy profile makes it a distinct alternative to the stronger masala direction of Jowar Mix. Choose it if a little sweetness is part of what you enjoy in namkeen, rather than adding it merely because both products contain millet.
Roasted does not mean oil-free
Jowar Mix lists rice bran oil, and Quinoa & Seeds also includes oil. Munchy's description specifies roasting with very little oil. Choose these products for their preparation, ingredients and flavour, not because “roasted” guarantees zero oil or a particular calorie count.
